Major: Information Systems
Leland wrote in an email sent to Arnold Testa and Dr. Sam Gill:
"Hello Arnie and Sam,
If you recall, a couple of months ago I contacted you for permission to use you as a professional reference. The job opening was for a Systems Analyst at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc working with their Siebel CRM application. I'm glad to report that the position was offered to me and was accepted. A major deciding factor was my previous experience working with you on the Salesforce project.
I want to thank the both of you for providing students the wonderful opportunity of participating in an internship program. All your hard work throughout the program is greatly appreciated. Please keep up the good work and I hope the internship program continues, so other students can benefit from the experience.
Best Regards,
Leland Chan"

Major: Information Systems / E-Commerce
I first found out about an internship opportunity, through Mr. Don Danner, that Dr. Gill was offering on my first day of classes at SF State. I was really excited that an internship was available for Information Systems (ISYS) majors and jump all over the chance at broadening my experience as a student.
Participating in this internship gave me hands on experience with the System Design Life Cycle which in turn gave me more of an understanding of the classes I had to take as an ISYS student.
I now have three internship projects under my belt and can honestly say that my success as a SF State student is due to having participated in the CBS internship program.
My last project was with Collective Roots, a nonprofit organization in East Palo Alto. Check out my profile on their website.
